Asman Arianto is originally from Palembang, South Sumatra, but has been living and working in Aceh Tengah for 21 years. Although he originally worked with the normal wet-hulled in Indonesia, Asman Arianto decided to switch completely to the production of crops, honey process and natural process coffees. Arianto founded the Ribang Gayo Musara Cooperative in 2018. Read here more about crops and natural coffees.

For this honey process coffee, the flesh is removed from the bean, but the beans are drying in their musilage (honey-like mucus layer). This gives a sweeter taste and fuller body.

The cooperative currently has more than 300 members supplying coffee berries to Arianto's processing facility in Pantan Musara. With registered members, the cooperative can return a second payment after every harvest of 500 Rupiahs per kg.
